We Found Paradise Close To Home

Happy Monday friends and family!

I know all you warm weather lovers are starting to get excited because Spring is near.

Well, today is another rainy, rainy day here in the Ham. We are expecting at least six inches
of rain over the next four days. Doesn't that sound like so much fun?!

I can hardly believe it has been almost a month since I have talked to you all here on the
blog! Where is 2020 going? It's crazy to me that it is already March.

Hubby and I had a little weekend adventure that I want to tell you about today. Some of
you know that Hubby, Miss S and I lived in North Alabama for 7 1/2 years before moving
to Birmingham. Over the weekend, we went back to visit friends that still live there.

We headed up on Friday afternoon, and got there in time to have a scrumptious dinner at
their house. We had steaks from the grill, loaded baked potatoes, salad and bread. Oh my it
was delicious! Needless to say I went to sleep Friday night with a super happy tummy, lol.

Saturday morning, we packed snacks, and a picnic lunch and drove to Waterloo, Alabama.
Waterloo is right in the tip top of Alabama, right on the corner where Mississippi, Alabama,
and Tennessee meet.

This was our mode of transportation, once we arrived in Waterloo...

In this picture, we are standing in Alabama, and Mississippi is to the left behind us, and
Tennessee is to the right.

We rode on picturesque trails most of the day and enjoyed time together, time with friends,
and time away from the hustle, bustle, and noise of work and traffic jams that are normal
parts of life in a big city.

The main attraction of our adventure was this beautiful waterfall.

I love that something this beautiful exists so close to home. I'm not a "jump on an airplane
and fly off on vacation" kind of girl, so I am happy that we could have such a wonderful time
and only be a three hour car ride away from home sweet home.

The weather was absolutely perfect for us. The sun was out, and it wasn't too cool, or too hot.
We had a great trip and just may have to make this an annual event. Next time, we
definitely want Miss S to join us. All day we kept talking about how much she would have
enjoyed it too.

Thanks for coming over to visit me today. I hope to see you back here again, very soon....
hopefully on Friday!!
