Reunions and Celebrations

Happy Monday!

Miss S is home from the beach and all the world feels right again!

When she arrived home on Saturday afternoon, she was so happy to be reunited with
her kitty baby, Shelley.

To celebrate our baby girl's homecoming, we made homemade Butterfinger ice cream
after church on Sunday afternoon.

This was our recipe:

We added everything to the container, and mixed it up.

Then added ice and rock salt, and turned our machine on.

The doggies immediately started plotting how they could knock down the
ice cream maker and have themselves a sweet treat feast.

In about an hour and a half, we had Butterfinger Ice Cream that was ready to be
eaten. (insert cheering and clapping here)

It was delicious and was the perfect way to end our weekend.

How was your weekend?

Do you love homemade ice cream?

I'm linking up with Katie for Mimm.

  1. Yum, that ice cream looks so good! I've never made it by just putting everything in the mixer - I usually make a custard base. I need to try!

    1. Morgan, it was super easy and we all agreed that there was no reason to EVER buy store bought ice cream again!
