A Veterans Day Workout

In honor of Veteran's Day I thought it would be fun to do a military style
workout. This workout would be a great tool to use to measure your fitness
level.

For example do this workout on November 11 and record your numbers.

Repeat the workout again on December 11 to see how much your fitness level
has improved in a month.

Perform a brief warm up by choosing 4 or 5 of these exercises...

Next, set a timer, then begin workout.

See how many push ups you can complete in 60 seconds. Record your
number.

See how many sit ups you can complete in 60 seconds and record that number.

See how many pull ups you can do in 60 seconds. If you have access to
an assisted pull up machine, use it if needed, just be sure to record the weight
that you set in on for assistance. Then record the number you complete in
60 seconds.

Finally, walk, jog, or run 2 miles and record the time it takes you to complete.

Now you have your baseline fitness test.

Repeat this workout at least once a month to see how much your fitness
level is improving.

Adjust your regular training routine to improve areas that you feel are weak.

Happy training!

Are you doing anything special in honor of Veterans Day?
